Meet the team
Founding Director
Our founding director, Ross Standaloft, studied a Masters degree in Sustainable Design at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff before starting his career at the Building Research Establishment (BRE) were he researched and wrote BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes policy. Upon leaving the BRE, Ross moved to leading Sustainability consultancy Eight Versa where he was an integral part of a growing team before establishing Green Tiger Sustainability Ltd in 2012. Ross has led the team in working on over 1,000 properties in London and beyond, creating and communicating sensible solutions for designers and developers to understand comply with ever-complicated planning and regulatory requirements.
co-owner and Managing Director
Our co-owner and Managing Director is Hemant Karadia, who comes from an engineering background and holds a master’s degree from Loughborough University, his former career spanning over 25 years as a technical lead has been spent with Tier 1 / Tier 2 blue chip organisations, developing global leading innovative full load current (FLC) products / projects and advanced technologies, together with full turn-key strategic approaches aimed at reducing targeted lifecycle emissions to meet legislative requirements. Driven by a sustained passion and commitment for the environment and now with a renewed vigour, his core focus is integrating energy-efficient strategies into residential and commercial buildings, with the goal of achieving a neutral carbon footprint. This unique combination of regulatory, home-grown private consultancy and corporate experience at our core allows Green Tiger to have a true insight into what the client needs and what the regulatory bodies want to see.
Our team of dedicated consultants: Kiran (Energy, Sustainability & Overheating Specialist), Nicky (SAP & Part L lead), Behdad (SBEM & Daylighting Speacialist) and Meg (Ecologist) – all bring specific expertise, dedication and a combination of over 60 years industry experience. In addition, our unique relationships with wider specialised sub-contracting consultants, we have a solution for all sustainability needs for your development, big or small.
